Humanity is long gone, leaving only their robotic housekeepers in the desert to keep doing whatever they did before. Soft sounds of laundry (or a stray curtain) flapping in the wind, gentle wind chimes, and the occasional motor sounds as the robot walks around picking up scrap metal.
